A respected public policy speaker, Mario has presented at forums and seminars involving best business practices, ethics in government, Latino policy engagement, healthcare, economic development and open government initiatives. He has been a keynote speaker at Loyola Marymount University, USC, Azusa Pacific University, and UCLA. He has been an on-air contributor for many news outlets including, ABC 20/20, ABC Newsmakers, PBS Studio SoCal, Fox News, KCBS, Univision, and Telemundo.
Mario has also written various opinion and commentary articles for local newspapers. He was nominated and was one of the winners by the Los Angeles Press Club Journalism Awards for his commentary on the death of Fidel Castro, “Que Viva Cuba Libre.”
